May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 – The Warren County Pioneer Youth Football League will be holding signups for girl’s flag football every Saturday in May at Bobby Ray Elementary. For more information, call (931) 507-8014.
Are you 15 or older and looking for a great summer job? The McMinnville Parks and Recreation and the American Red Cross are hosting Lifeguard Certification Classes on June 2 – June 13 and July 28 – August 8. The classes will be held at the McMinnville Gilley Pool, Monday through Friday, from 6 to 9 pm. The cost is $100.00. Sign up now! You can complete a registration form at the McMinnville Civic Center. This is to advise USDA Rural Development’s Notice of Funding Availability for Section 514 Farm Labor Housing Loans and Section 516 Farm Labor for Fiscal Year 2008 was published in the Federal Register dates Wednesday, March 12. The Community Advisory Board is asking for volunteers to help "One Family—Once a Year." Help can be offered in the form of financial assistance; time to assist a family with a special need; transportation; making telephone calls; or sharing skills such as home maintenance, meal preparation, counseling, reading, mentoring, etc. The sky's the limit. 05/03 (sa) 2 pm to 8 pm – 27th Annual Pork ‘N Bands, Security Federal West Lawn. Sponsored by the Warren County Pioneer Band and the Warren County Lions Club, performances will include Warren County Pioneer Symphonic Band, Tennessee School for the Blind Band, Warren County Middle School Beginning Band, Warren County Surrounding Schools Beginning Band, Warren County 7th & 8th Grade Band, Warren County Winter Guard and Pelhams Gospel Music Group. Door prizes will be given away. There will also be an auction, Sweet Shop, BBQ, Cake Walk, Hot Dogs & Dr Pepper products. Bring the family out for an afternoon of music, fun and food!
