In a letter we received last week, they described their duties as "providing information and answering questions for Tennesseans who are thinking about starting or already own a small business. Additionally, the Advocate serves as an informal mediator between small business owners and state government when issues involving regulatory or enforcement actions occur". "Vaughn named TN Fisher House fundraising chair for six counties"
Retired Army Colonel Thomas B. Vaughn of McMinnville has been appointed to spearhead fundraising efforts in Warren, DeKalb, White, Van Buren, Grundy, and Coffee counties for construction of a TN Fisher House at the Alvin C. McMinnville Jiu-Jitsu Academy is now offering a Women’s Self- Defense and empowerment course for WOMEN ONLY.
Classes will meet at our Downtown Academy at 113 N. Spring Street Beginning Saturday, September 3rd, 2011 from 11-12pm and will continue every other Saturday thereafter. Cost is $15 per class.

    Last Friday Bluegrass Underground is taped live 333 feet below ground at Cumberland Caverns in McMinnville. Tickets are $15 per person and can only be purchased at www.bluegrassunderground.com. Monthly performances (see calendar below) are recorded and aired on the last Friday night of each month on 650 WSM Radio, from 12:00 midnight to 2:00 am.
    1st Saturday McMinnville Cruisers 5:00 p.m til? - Security federal Parking lot. There will be door prizes, concessions, lots of classic cars. The event will be cancelled if there is rain.

    01/19-4/12 Warren County Master Gardeners will be holding a Master Gardeners Course, Intensive 36-hour home horticulture class with topics including: soils, botany, vegetables, fruit trees, shrubs, ornamentals, insects and disease, lawn maintenance and care - composting, irrigation and landscaping in the Magnolia Room at the Warren County Administrative Building from 6:30-9:30pm.
