Name: Blackout 2017 -A Great American Eclipse Party
    Date: August 21, 2017
    Time: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM CDT
    Event Description:
Main Street McMinnville presents The Solar Eclipse
The Great American Eclipse is an extraordinary celestial event. From approximately 12:00-3:00pm on Monday, August 21, the moon will slowly move in between the sun and the earth blocking the sun for one minutes 50 seconds. The full totality will occur approximately 1:32pm on August 21.

Only a thin swath of the United States will be able to see the moon completely cover the sun, and McMinnville is uniquely positioned to see all of this extremely rare event. The last full solar eclipse in the Nashville area occurred in the 1460's and the next won't occur until 2566.
