Name: National Trails Day: Upstream Trail Hike
    Date: June 3, 2017
    Event Description:
Celebrate the American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day! Experience the park trails with your own knowledgeable guide. Meet a Ranger at the Twin Falls Overlook at the end of Powerhouse Rd. We will be taking a strenuous hike to the top of Great Falls. We will be rock hopping through the river gorge and at one point we will have to climb up about 10’ to continue around the warm hole. You’re welcome to wear your swimming attire and get wet along the way, however wear shoes with good tread. Flip-flops, crocs, or shoes with a slick bottom are the greatest cause of injuries in the river gorge. Rangers also recommend bringing plenty of water to stay hydrated. Temperatures are much warmer in the gorge than surrounding areas.
