This event is an opportunity for Chamber members and other community members to ask questions directly to our county's legislators: Representatives Judd Matheny and Kevin Dunlap and Senator Janice Bowling. This event will be held in March at the Otis Floyd Nursery Research Center from 7:00-9:00 am, and breakfast will be served. The cost of attendance is $10, payable at the Chamber of Commerce or at the Research Center on the day of the event.
Following breakfast, the first half of the meeting will be a discussion among the legislators that will be moderated by John Partin. This discussion will be prompted by questions that have been pre-submitted and reviewed. He asks that you submit these questions to him at least three weeks in advance of the event. After the moderated discussion has ended, there will be an open floor during which anyone can ask any legislator a relevant question.
We hope this event will be an opportunity both to make our legislators more visible and interactive and to increase the political efficacy of the community. We hope that you take advantage of this opportunity, because one of the best ways to see your community improve is to have a hand in building it up.
This event is sponsored by Security Federal Savings Bank.
