The Discard Discussion group, Warren County’s own award-winning sustainability partnership, is teaming up with Tennessee’s Department of Environment and Conservation to bring cost saving measures to businesses in and around Warren County.
Speakers from TDEC will help attendees understand what they need to do to stay in compliance with EPA and state regulations, industry experts will give guidance on how to save money while reducing wastes. A represenative from Newell Brands will be giving a presentation about how their company saved over $20K in just 18 months simply by changing to a recycled oil and talking about some grassroots partnerships that will save us another $25K in the coming year and prevent at least 200 tons of garbage from going to the landfill!
There will be lots of networking opportunities to help small business owners and representatives connect with others in the same boat - to share ideas, create partnerships, and find new opportunities to save money and reduce wastes.
