    ABOUT FREE YOGA DAY

    As a commitment to bring well-being to the surrounding communities, Isha Institute will be offering free yoga classes and lessons on vegetarian cooking every month.

    The free yoga day for this month is on Feb 4, 2017.  Free, family-friendly yoga sessions will be offered throughout the day. These yoga sessions are based in classical yoga and are suitable for everyone, addressing every aspect of a person, from body and mind, to emotions and energy. No physical agility or previous yoga experience is needed to attend these sessions. One can choose the session based on their interest.     The 1400 acre Isha Institute is nestled on the beautiful Cumberland plateau which offers great outdoor activities like guided hikes to a breathtaking bluff view, free access to over 10 miles of forested hiking and mountain biking trails, vegetarian cooking classes, live music, food, and fun!

    ​ISHA INSTITUTE OVERVIEW:
    Available at the Welcome Center throughout the day.

    UPA YOGA: Physical Yoga to Relieve Stress & Boost Energy
    Sessions are at 9am (90 min), 11:30am (45 min) and 4:45pm (45 min)

    in Mahima Hall. Ages 7+.
    (Empty or light stomach is recommended)

    ISHA KRIYA: Guided Meditation
    A simple and powerful meditation for clarity,
    health and joy. Sessions are at 10:15am (60 min) in Cedar Hall and
    3:30pm (60 min) in Mahima Hall. Ages 12+.

    NADA YOGA: The Yoga of Sound
    When practiced daily, this simple meditation can
    strengthen one’s physical and mental constitution
    and bring about tremendous balance and
    wellbeing. The session is at 1:30pm
    (60 min) in Mahima Hall. Ages 7+.

    HEALTHY COOKING CLASS:
    Pranic foods supply abundant life energy to the system that supports the liveliness of the body and an alert, peaceful mind.  Come learn a yummy, highly-pranic vegetarian recipe that you can easily take home and prepare on your own. The cooking class is at 2:45pm in the Dining Hall.

    HIKES:
    Guided hikes to a bluff vista.  Hikes begin at
    11am, 1pm and 3pm in front of Mahima.

    ADIYOGI: THE ABODE OF YOGA:
    A powerful meditation space open throughout the
    day from 8am to 8pm.

    VEGETARIAN LUNCH AND DINNER BUFFET ($10/PERSON):
    The dining hall will be open from 10am – 2:30pm for lunch and
    from 7pm – 8pm for dinner.  Sweets and snacks for kids
    are available for purchase throughout the day.
    Food tickets are available at the Welcome Center.
