MTSU Theater Performance, Walking In The Sunlight: The Life and Legacy of Uncle Dave Macon

In a brilliant rush of devised theatre, a cast of actor-musicians use imagination and instrumentation to tell the story of the life of country music star, Uncle Dave Macon.
Uncle Dave Macon,born in Smartt Station, TN (5 miles south of McMinnville) was the first super star of the Grand Ole Opry and is known all over the world for his music and personality.  However, he leaves us another legacy: the story of his life. His ability to press forward through tragedy and hardship in optimism and passion and to bring joy to others continues to be an inspiration to old and young.
