Job Title: Experienced Houseboat Construction / Carpentry Laborers
Pay: $20–$25/hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time / Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Houseboat Construction / Carpentry Laborers to work on houseboat construction and renovation projects. This role involves a variety of hands-on tasks including framing, finishing, repairs, and general carpentry in a marine environment. Ideal candidates will have strong construction skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general construction duties on houseboats, including framing, decking, and finishing work
- Install and repair structures, fixtures, and materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Assist with remodeling, upgrades, and repairs as needed
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2+ years of general construction / carpentry experience required
- Experience with carpentry, remodeling, or marine construction
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and follow direction
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working on boats, docks, or marine structures
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or finishing work
Work Environment:
- Outdoor and indoor work on or near water
- Physical, hands-on role requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
